Cory Brookins has been a home inspector for over 10 years and has conducted over 8,000 inspections. As the first licensed home inspector in Bay County he has continued make strides in leading the industry.
Cory was born and raised in Bay County and is a graduate of Florida State University where he was a Varsity Football Letterman.
Cory has been instrumental in Five Star Inspections leading the technological advances in Home Inspections. Gone are the days of a handyman showing up at your home with a ladder and notebook. Besides using a reporting process that allows all our clients to receive digital reports the same day of the inspection, we also combine four tools to both better the inspections and reporting abilities:
1) Robotics: Five Star Inspections has a custom robot engineered specifically to evaluate confined areas that humans cannot access. The robot is remote controlled and gives real time views in some of the smallest crawlspaces.
2) Aerial Evaluations: Our DJI drone gives us the ability to inspect roofs and higher elevation structures that were previously not safely accessed. The drone also supplies HD quality photos/videos.
3) Flir Camera: Thermal imaging technology is not only helpful in evaluating the HVAC systems, building envelope, and electrical systems; but can also be used to track moisture penetration within the home.
Nail Sizing
The 8d nail, based on its spacing, when used in securing the roof decking is over 2.4 times stronger than traditional staples.
